Man's Best Friend

Growing up I had an aversion to dog's after my near death experience (ok so at 7 when a big black dog is chasing you down flightsss of stairs as you scream for your mother at the top of your lungs - even if the dog was running behind you because it was trying to get the tree and you were in it's way, it's a near death experience).  Needless to say since then, when I ever possible I would try to be on the other side of the street if I saw a dog.

I never thought I wanted to dog, but that was till I met Kirby, who was rescued from an animal shelter by Mike.  This dog is awesome, but I must say that I've never met a dog that was so spoiled (and I mean that in a good way).  While on our way to the location for the shoot, I open the backseat door for Kirby to get in .  He looks at seat, looks at me, looks at Mike and just stands there.  So I'm thinking, ok, let's see what happens if I open the front door.  Do you know that it took Kirby two seconds to look inside and get comfortable in the front passenger seat and if someone else tries to sit in his seat, he crawls behind you and attempts to push you off the "his" seat.

Watching the chemistry between these two made me think that maybe it wouldn't be so bad to welcome a pup.

Now as much as I am now welcoming he idea of a pup, there is one aspect of the relationship, that I am just having a hard time with...

For today, this is a deal breaker...
